She saw Tip unconscious and kneeling down beside him; she felt for a pulse. good! he's alive! He stirred and she supported him as he sat up. She tried to calm herself down and starred down the road when in her joy; she saw two police men striding down fast.
" You don't look so well; whats your name? what happened?" The questions barraged her.
She couldn't think at that moment. she answered best she could.
" Anyway; we just happened by; and we saw a commotion; and a bread truck speeding by; stopped it and they confessed everything- we better get you to the hospital," He said.
He strode off into the store to use the phone while Tip and Dot looked at each other in sheer joy. They did it!
Later Vicky came over to Dot and Herbert's apartment and explained everything.

Vanished Part 13
I must apologize for not posting my part sooner!! I kept forgetting... :)
---
Dot screamed and started kicking the clerk with her bright red heels. The man pinned her arms back and tried to push her into a room behind the counter.
"Don't give me any trouble!" Jenson exclaimed. The door was opened and Dot was forced into a dark room with only a small window. He shut the door and locked it behind him.
Dot's thick black hair was hanging in her face and her eyes were on fire. So the clerk was in on this little game.
She hurried over to the window, dodging dusty crates and boxes. She peered out the smudged glass and gasped. The bread truck was gone. Dot's heart skipped a beat. And so was Tip!
She looked around in panic. She grabbed a small wooden crate and threw it at the window. Crash! Dot ducked as sharp pieces of glass flew everywhere.
She hurried through the now open window, despite the bad cut on her hand.
"Tip!" She half whispered. "Tip!" Cautiously she headed down the smelly alley, her heart pounding so fast it was hard to breathe.
That's when she saw it.
From behind an old metal garbage can, she saw a pale hand with red blood dripping from its motionless fingers.
She hurried over and let out a sob. Tip!

Vanished part 12
By Rachel S
Tip motioned for Dot to stay and emerged out slowly from behind the trash cans, with the hand gun in his hand.
" Hold it!" He said.
Pointing the gun at them. Turning around, the two men saw a lanky teenager, or what looked like one. Vicky's lightened up as she saw him.
problem was; what to do next?
" Slowly now, let go of the lady, and face the wall," He said.
The two obeyed, as Dot ran into the bakery, by the back. The clerk looked up.
" You again?" He asked.
She swallowed hard, breathing hard.
" Can I use your phone? something-" She stopped.
He looked shifty eyed at her, like a sly snake.
" Whats going on here? it seems like soemthings going on," He said.
Dot eyed a telaphone by the front and she hurried to it without saying anything further, picking it up she dialed emergancy.
" Theirs kidnappers outside Jensen's bakery-" She was cut short by a hand that went over her mouth, she bit it, and pushed the man away, it was the clerk! Her heart raced. what was she going to do know?

Vanished, Part 11
Vanished Part 11, By Kathryn
Dot's voice faded as the man came nearer. He looked around, his dark beady eyes darting back and forth.
Suddenly, Tip and Dot heard a piercing scream.
"You let go of me!" Someone yelled. Around the corner of an old brick building came two big men. Their arms were marked with bright tattoos and they wore red caps on their heads. In between them, fighting desperately, was none other than Victoria Appleton.
"Stop squirmin', lady!" One of the men said. The beady-eyed man in the tweed suit hurried over.
"Put her in the back of the truck. Tie her hands and gag her so she won't make any noise," he ordered.
Dot winced as they threw Vicky roughly into the old bread truck. They had to get her out of there! But how could they?
Suddenly Dot remembered her gun. She quietly opened the flap of her small handbag, and pulled out the shiny, black pistol. She nudged Tip and showed him the gun. His big brown eyes lighted up. Maybe they could do this.

vanished part 10
by Rachel S
As Dot peered down the alley looking for suspicious people, the words of Herbert rang in her ears about not going down by Jensen's bakery.
And suddenly she knew why, someones hand went over her mouth and a strong grip took her hands, fear paralyzed her. She was sunk, she was caught now what?
She thought her life was over, what was going to happen next? her hand gun was in her purse that she was holding.
She feared the person could hear her heart beating wildly.
With a strong hand, the person turned her around to face him. She gasped. It was Tip.
What was he doing here?
" What are you doing here? you nearly gave me a heart attack," She hissed.
Tip's ears perked up and he placed a hand over her mouth.
" Shh," All he said.
Her eyes bulged trying to look around to see why Tip had said that so sudden.
He hurried her by some trash cans and ducked down, slowly peering out. Dot saw why, a bread truck was backing up slowly to the back entrance, with the engine still running, the driver got out and Dot stifled a gasp.
It was a tall man in a tweed suit walking slowly to the bakery.
" Tip- do you suppose?.." She said in a wisper.

Vanished, Part 9
Vanished, Part 9, by Kathryn
The bakery was filled with delicious smells. Loaves of bread, muffins, biscuits, cookies, and all sorts of treats were lined up on the shelves.
An older man was behind the counter. His hair-what was left of it-was ruffled and his vest unbuttoned.
"Is there something I can do for you?" he asked.
"Yes. Have you seen an older lady? She has greyish hair and is about so tall." She held her hand up beside her head to show how tall Vicky was.
"Nope, sorry."
"Have you seen any men, or strange looking people?"
"Are you familiar with this area of town?" He gazed at her perfectly fitting suit, her bright white gloves, and the rather stylish hat she wore on her dark brown hair. "I would say not. Lady, everybody looks strange around here."
"Well you don't have to get snappy," Dot said. "You have to understand this is very important!"
The man just stared at Dot.
"Can I use your back entrance?" She finally asked. The man waved his hand towards a brown door. She opened it to find herself in a dark, smelly alley. Trash cans lined the back of brick buildings, and water dripped onto the pavement from leaky pipes. Dot stepped carefully over a pile of papers, and headed cautiously down the alley. How different this was from where she lived. It almost seemed like a different city.
Meanwhile, the cab that Tip was in screeched to a stop right in front of Jensen's Bakery. He hopped out and paid the driver, then hurried into the sweet-smelling bakery.
"Yes?" The man asked.
"Have you seen a younger lady? She has dark brownish hair and is about so tall. "
The man looked at Tip.
"I'll answer you if you answer me. Are all you uptown New Yorkers like this?" His hand ran through his white hair, and his eyes were wide.
"Huh?" Tip asked, impatiently.
"Never mind. She went through there." Again he waved his hand towards the brown door.
As Tip slammed the door shut, the old man shuffled to the other side of the counter, and grabbed a tin can. On a piece of white paper he wrote:
Questions: 25 cents each.
There, he thought.

Vanished part 8
Written by Rachel S
Tip stood in dismay as he watched Dot disapear in the cab. Flagging down another taxi, a yellow cab pulled up.
" Sir, please follow that taxi, its headed to Jensen's bakery," He said.
The chauffeur looked back astonished, he had heard it was dangrous there, why would a young man like him want to go there?
" Are you sure?" He asked.
" Look! my sister's headed for there, I need to follow her at a distance, I don't want her to disapear," he said.
The cab driver nodded, and drove a ways after the cab, headed to danger.
When the Cab pulled up to the bakery, Dot thanked the chauffeur and getting out she looked around, it was a windy place in the city, a bit of rubbish and newspapers fluttered by.
Her heart kinda skipped a beat as she saw a rat run by. She saw the broken down looking bakery, ciggerette butts lay scattered along the side walk.
adjusting her hair, she walked in in the bakery. the bell on the door jingled as she did.
