Vanished, Part 11
Vanished Part 11, By Kathryn
Dot's voice faded as the man came nearer. He looked around, his dark beady eyes darting back and forth.
Suddenly, Tip and Dot heard a piercing scream.
"You let go of me!" Someone yelled. Around the corner of an old brick building came two big men. Their arms were marked with bright tattoos and they wore red caps on their heads. In between them, fighting desperately, was none other than Victoria Appleton.
"Stop squirmin', lady!" One of the men said. The beady-eyed man in the tweed suit hurried over.
"Put her in the back of the truck. Tie her hands and gag her so she won't make any noise," he ordered.
Dot winced as they threw Vicky roughly into the old bread truck. They had to get her out of there! But how could they?
Suddenly Dot remembered her gun. She quietly opened the flap of her small handbag, and pulled out the shiny, black pistol. She nudged Tip and showed him the gun. His big brown eyes lighted up. Maybe they could do this.
