Vanished part 4

Herbert directed her to the couch in the living room
" Calm down Dot, its okay," He said,
Then asking her what happened, she pulled out the note. He read it, his eyes suddenly getting serious.
" I told Tip to meet her and then I hurried to get you," She said.
" What'll we do?" She exclaimed.
He looked at her then at her watch.
" Tip will take care of it, hush dear, I have to go now," He said.
Then giving her a light kiss, he disapeared through the door.
She bolted up and ran to the door, taking her purse and slipping her heels on.

Tip was pacing the room of Vicky's. His clammy hands going through his hair, ruffling it up.
Then looking up at Dot who was looking out the window, her palms sweaty.

" Vicky's not home yet, this is bad," She said.
