Taking action, Herbert took Dot's delicate hand and they raced through the palm trees, the vines whipped their face making tears form Only a matter of time and the whole Island would be in ruins by the volcano.
" Stop it! your running to fast!" She gasped, trying to keep up with him.

They finally made it, panting to the beach auxasted. and then, saw to their delight a US army ship, floatable rafts dotted the shore as everyone piled in.

Dot looked back to the forest of tropics. The plane stood abandoned. Freddie ran up to them with Gerald.
" Com'n Dot, Herbert, climb in on the raft, fast!" He said.
Herbert turned to Dot and they ran to the raft, soon clambering onto the boat and as they went away into safe waters away from the Island a distance, they saw the volcano spew red rocks.
They watched with awe. Dot couldn't bear it, placing her head into Herbert's arms, she fainted.

" Dot Hon," Herbert said.
She looked around, she had waken up, she was on a fresh linen bed, he was sitting next to her.
" Where am I?" She asked.
" Your safe, We're almost in the harbor of Texas, you were tired, let me tell you," He said.
She smiled, then stood up, looking out the window, seeing her beloved land appear in sight. Home. At last.
Someone knocked.
" Come in," He said.
Freddie walked in.
" Safe and sound, sorry I got you in such a mess," He said.
Herbert shook his head.
" No, it was an adventure, thankyou and we'll keep in contact when we land alright?" He asked.
Freddie smiled.
" Thanks Herbert, I definitly will, may visit you in fact," He said.
Then, after a hearty hand shake, he said he was getting a helicopter escort to New York City and he bade them goodbye as he walked off.
Dot and Herbert walked on deck as they saw the plane disapear in the clouds.
