part 4

Dot was feeling better already, her delicate hand held the champane glass with sparkling wine in it.  Across her at the table was a young man, Herbert Clermond, who had a lot of ego, his hair parted on the side, jet black, a neat suit was on him, a white tie did the finishing touches.
" How are you doing Herbert?" She asked.
a crystal bowl held grapes and another salted nuts. Her hand took one, slipping it in her mouth.
" Good," He said, smiling like he had a secret.
Dot nodded slowly then placed the glass down, studied her hand and then looked up at the man, handsome. Then he got up.
" Come on, I'll show you something," He said.
They got up and walked to a room, that the door was closed and locked, taking a key from his pocket he unlocked the door, Dot wondered what it was in that room, For Herbert to have a locked room was not normal for him, to have a locked room meant something in there that was super important.
He fished in his pocket for the keys, but not finding any he placed them back.
" Wait here, I'll get the right one," He said.
And walked off, Dot waited, wondering what was in that room that he didn't want people to see or go in, was it money? a prisoner? He was soon back and slipped the key in the door, opening it and turned on the light, in one swift moment and beckoned Dot in, she gasped and her heart flipped for what she saw..

                                                          ****
Victor and Dave where in hot pursuit, following Andrew, another police man running after him. They turned a corner where Andrew had gone but they didn't see him in the alley, was he invisible?
" Andrew Barker, where ever you are, come out," He said.
The evening was drawing close to dark, Officer Hughes shined his light around the place, then they heard footsteps, like softly ones that were creeping away.  At once, the police officers and Dave ran up to it and Victor pounced on it, pinning the dark person down.
" Ah ha! got you Mr. Barker!" he said.
